Saab får beställning från Sverige på radarsystemen Giraffe 4A

Global company Saab has revealed plans to merge two of its business units to form a single entity next year, in order to strengthen its radar portfolio and target future market needs. Under the plan, the company will combine its Airborne Surveillance Systems and Surface Radar Solutions businesses. Northrop Grumman has awarded a contract to Saab to support the US Marine Corps (USMC) AN/TPS-80 Ground/Air Task Oriented Radar (G/ATOR). The contract, valued at $36.7m, will see Saab provide radar system components and subsystems. The award is for the full rate production phase of the G/ATOR programme.
